Update 3: Ira Township Little League Covid-19

Ira Little League Parents and Players,

First off, I hope you and your families are healthy and safe during this unexpected health crisis.

Just an update as to what is going on with Ira Twp. Little League and Little League International.

Little league International has recommended that all Little League activities be put on hold until May 11, 2020.  It is still the intention of Ira Twp. Little League to have a full season of baseball and softball this summer even if it runs into July.  The hope is to get your son’s and daughter’s on the field to enjoy the friendship and competition that they are looking forward to.

As more information becomes available to us, we will gladly pass it on to all of you.  Below are links of two of the latest messages that we have received from Little League international.

Ira Twp. Little League President

Good Afternoon,

Apologies for the abundance of emails that you are receiving, but in an attempt to follow all recommendations we are Postponing the Bowling Fundraiser until May 29th, 7:00 PM @ Premier Lanes.

If you were a volunteer for the fundraiser Chris Durrenberg has asked that you reach out to him, to verify your availability for the new date.

This is a fluid situation, so as new information arises that effects the way our organization operates, we will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

Per Little League International and Ira Township Little League it is the intentions at this time that we will still have a full season ahead of us. Please be on the look out for future updates regarding any information coming from the league.

Thank you,

In concordance with Local, State, and Federal Health organizations, as well as Little League International. All Baseball/Softball activities that are Child related are being suspended until at least April 6th, this includes any practices, player evaluations, team meetings and/or get togethers. We will continue to monitor this situation up to the April 6th date at which time we will reevaluate as the situation deems necessary.

Player Agents will be reaching out to Managers in the Baseball divisions, and Managers should pass on any information to their coaching staffs as we are still planning to have our Mandatory Managers meeting on Monday night, so please make sure you can attend.

During this time of postponement, if the Board needs to meet with Coaches, Managers, or Players agents than these meetings will occur on an as needed basis and in small group settings.

As updates come in from Health Organizations, Local, State, and the Federal Government as well as Little League International please allow us to digest all information in order for us to send out updates. All updates will be made via Email from the league, a post to our Facebook page, and an update to our home page.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
